Fencing Fundraiser 5K! June 7th Save THE DATE!

Fencers, Family & Friends,

Thank you for all of your support last season! We raised over $20,000 towards fencing travel grants of which we have paid out $19,000. Our grant support helped athletes compete at World Cups when they did not have the means to attend. Because of this support, our sponsored athletes won FIVE international medals: Three European Circuit medals (2nd, 5th, & 6th); one Junior World Cup Medal (top 8 @ the Arizona World Cup); and the Bronze Medal at Cadet World Championships 2014! Five senior athletes will be receiving travel grants to help them fund their trips to the Senior World Cup in Chicago. Two made the top 32 in the world! Very exciting…

We are hosting a 5K in Central Park June 7th @ Regis High School on the upper east side. Over the last two years our organization we raised $27,000 and this year we are hoping to raising over $50,000 or more!

One of my proudest moments was watching Karol win his first World Championship Medal.  All the hard work and discipline has paid off in a huge way.

Congratulations Karol!

First Day of Junior Worlds in Plovdiv, Bulgaria

The excitement that I felt many years ago at my first Junior & Cadet World Championships is coming back!  The site is great…  Being set up just like at the London Olympics.  Our practice was short and to the point.

Stanislav Pozdniakov’s demonstration of the proposed new rules brought up more questions then they solved.  More to follow on this issue.  Check out the below pictures from the venue and of the Cadet National Team.

Zoran Tulum is doing a great job as our new National Coach!
